OVERVIEW
Are you 45 years old and up and already running your own successful business in your home country and think you can build a business that will create jobs in Canada? Are you a bright entrepreneur with a new idea that can add cultural, social and/or economic value to Canada? If you said yes to any of these questions, you might qualify for the Start-up Visa Program, which will provide you with a fast, lucrative and reliable pathway to permanent residency and citizenship in Canada for you and your entire family.
Although this program requires a sizable personal investment, it can include up to 5 applicants at a time, requires a relatively low language score and provides opportunities to have their businesses supported by a Canadian venture capital fund, angel investor and/or business incubator. Qualified candidates and their family members are able to gain permanent residency in Canada within approximately 16-25 months while residing most of their time within Canada during the process of setting up their new start-up businesses.
REQUIREMENTS
Although capital investment is an important requirement for qualification for this program, the exact financial requirements depend on the type of business a candidate is planning to create. There are also multiple considerations that are required such as the ability to own a significant portion of the business, have an active managerial role in the business and the ability to create Canadian jobs. However, the overall requirements include
> Past Experience Running and Operating a Business
> A Solid Business Plan and/or a Great Business Idea
> and Support from a Designated Financial Institution
NOTE: Future Soft Immigration will be able to assist qualifying candidates with every step of the Start-Up Visa Program process from crafting their business proposal to networking with local business professionals in order to make the entire process smooth, fast and ultimately lucrative.
